As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • The satisfaction of all our clients
  • The smooth operation of all moves
  • The safety and professionalism of your crew
  • The safety of clients’ possessions and homes
  • The logistics of the job (e.g., reading through paperwork at the office, getting supplies ready, viewing photos of the job)
  • Delegating crew positions (e.g., packing the truck, wrapping art, disassembling furniture, helping park the truck)
  • Being the first point of contact with the client
  • Conducting the walk-through before and after the move (and get waivers signed if needed
  • Timekeeping (e.g., ensuring sufficient time to get to the next job)
  • Checking that all equipment are returned after a move *e.g., toolboxes, uniforms, dollies)
  • Taking payment from clients
  • Ensuring that all debris is cleared away out of truck, that the truck is restocked and cleaned
  • Following orders from and staying in regular contact with the the Office Manager, Operations Manager, and Owner
  • Report all accidents and injuries as outlined in the Employee Handbook to the Operations Manager
  • Conduct on-site assessments and properly document and create estimates
  • Work with the Operations Manager to assist with training new staff

 

Experience/Requirements

  • Full G licence with clean driving record an asset
  • Experience driving an 18-24′ truck an asset
  • Clean-cut appearance
  • Experience working with hand tools
  • Previous moving experience an asset
  • Physically fit – must be able to lift 75 lbs for extended periods of time
  • Energetic and positive attitude; critical thinking skills
  • A must: Friendly and professional customer service skills
  • Interested in growing within our company
  • Smart phone with internet an asset
